Identify the computer without guessing the repair.
The useful information is the actual device and its working environment. A processor label or a broad product family does not describe every port, board or storage arrangement.
MacBook Air, Pro and Apple desktops
Recent M4 and M5 MacBook families, older M-series and Intel Macs can be assessed. Separate a machine that needs to work again from original files that need to be preserved. Include the model identifier and any previous board or storage work before approving a reinstall or replacement.
Gaming and graphics workstations
ROG Zephyrus G16 and Strix, TUF, Legion, Alienware, OMEN, MSI, Razer and custom desktops need the exact configuration checked. Record the application or game, external displays, graphics output and the point at which heat, crashes or shutdowns occur. A generic GPU name is not enough to select a compatible assembly.
Office fleets and connected equipment
For a business laptop, desktop or all-in-one, include its normal dock, displays, printer or other affected peripherals in the description. Identify the authorised contact and the deadline. If a shared drive or investigation is involved, state that first so repair work does not silently become a recovery or forensic assignment.
